Located in l’Horta Sud, Valencia, Casa Escaleta is directly accessible from the street via a narrow staircase, a distinctive feature of many single-family homes in the area. Hidden behind its facade lies a dwelling with over a hundred years of history, typical of a village house typology. The intervention aimed to reinterpret its existing layout, transforming a compartmentalized structure into a spacious and fluid space designed for a young couple seeking a contemporary home while preserving the original character of the house.
